Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or mobile device by websites that you visit. They are widely used to make websites work properly, provide essential security safeguards, and optimize browsing responsiveness.

2. How HelloPrompt Uses Cookies

HelloPrompt believes in lightweight, non-invasive web design. We use cookies strictly for functional and technical security purposes:

Cookie / Identifier Category Purpose & Duration
XSRF-TOKEN Essential / Security Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) protection token required to secure asynchronous requests (such as incrementing prompt copy counts). Expires after 2 hours.
helloprompt_session Essential / Functional Standard Laravel session cookie used for maintaining HTTP flash messages and authentication state for site administrators. Expires at end of session.

3. What We Do NOT Use

Unlike many commercial ad-driven galleries, HelloPrompt does not load:

  • Third-party advertising tracking networks (e.g., Google AdSense, DoubleClick, Facebook Pixel).
  • Cross-site user profiling or behavioral tracking beacons.
  • Surreptitious device fingerprinting scripts.

4. Browser Clipboard & Web APIs

When you click the "Copy Complete Prompt" button on any prompt detail page, HelloPrompt triggers the modern browser-native navigator.clipboard.writeText API. This copies the exact prompt syntax to your local operating system clipboard without transmitting clipboard data back to our servers.

5. Controlling Cookies

Most modern web browsers allow you to control cookie settings through their preference panels. You can configure your browser to block cookies or notify you when a cookie is being set. Please note that disabling essential cookies may impact CSRF security checks.

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
